Christmas Break

It turns out that I love it when Ryan has three weeks off of school and I don't have to work. The only bad part is having to get back to life now that it's over. We had such an awesome holiday. So much relaxing, eating, family, eating, games and did I mention eating?

We took Lucas to visit Santa. He was less than thrilled. As you can tell from the expression on his face he's asking who this guy is, why he should be excited and why are we taking pictures? Luckily he didn't cry at all, I think he was just indifferent.

My Mom tried to make Lucas' helmet more festive. She was really excited to put Christmas decorations on him. He didn't really mind, but he couldn't figure out what that noise was.

We went to the Carl Bloch exhibit with my Mom after the holiday. It was very pretty, but kids are really loud in museums, echo and all. While everyone else is checking out the intricate details of light and shadow in a piece, I'm trying to wrangle a squirmy child so he can't touch the original art work.

Lucas loved to open his presents on Christmas. He could unwrap them, as long as we started them for him. He would get distracted by small pieces of wrapping paper though. For the most part he was really into it, especially considering he was only 7 1/2 months old.

The Sinner kids minus Casey and Mary. We spent Christmas Eve at the Sinner house. Besides Lucas waking up every 90min due to teething it was a super fun weekend. All the Aunts and Uncles were helpful and happy to see Lucas. He did get a little competition in the cute arena though. Uncle Cameron got a puppy! We were all smitten. Lucas liked him until the puppy tried to eat his socks and jumped on him. Now he's a little more cautious, or maybe I'm the more careful one now.

Aunt Kelli was in town for the holidays. We always love when she visits. Everything is so much more fun. We went bowling, twice! Plus we had major dance offs on the wii.

We got my Dad and Jan this super fun board game for Christmas called Imaginiff. We had to play it during the break. So of course Jan made us yummy food and we all had a good laugh playing the game.
