Countdown
Hallelujah, the interview is over. It was a high stress couple of days there but Ryan made it through. So did we (baby and mommy). He felt pretty good about the whole thing, especially the individual interviews. But it's really hard to guess how you did when you have no idea what they are looking for. Ryan heard it compared to a test that you don't know the answers for so you don't know how to study or if you got the questions right after you've taken it. One of the individual interviewers remembered him from his essay so we think that's a good sign. The group interview was a little tougher. The Prof. that was on his panel was very smart and a little intimidating (his first question was "describe how to solve the current health care crises and tell me how you would fund your solution" how do you answer that?) Luckily they should tell us within two weeks. We're really hoping for good news. We would love for this to be the year that we have a baby, get into grad school and Ryan turns 30!

Third Trimester
I've officially entered my third trimester. Our due date is three months from today! Yikes, it is rapidly approaching. I'm a little scared for the horrors of the third trimester. Everyone talks about how uncomfortable and miserable you are at the end. Right now I still feel about the same? Hopefully it will continue to be delightful, or I'll just deal with whatever gets handed to me. Here is the new bigger and better belly shot. Enjoy!

Ryan's big day(s)
Hopefully all of you out there in TV land know by now that Ryan is working hard to be a physical therapist. We found out at the beginning of this month that he got an interview for the PT program at the University of Utah. This is big news since it means we could stay in state, not have to sell our house, have help with the baby, I could continue working and get a discount on his tuition. These are all big things so we are really praying that the U is the path for us. Ryan's interview is rapidly approaching. It's a two day all out bonanza. He has two individual interviews on Thursday, then a social that night. Then a lunch on Friday and a group interview that afternoon. We've been trying to prepare Ryan mentally, spiritually and physically, but any prayers or good vibes sent out to the universe would be much appreciated. We know that their is a path for us, we just kinda hope that this is the path the big guy has in mind.
Buying baby things
I am truly overwhelmed at everything we need for a baby. Up until now I've only really been concerned with pregnancy and delivery (and delivery just barely popped up on my radar). But it turns out that, that is just the beginning and after that you have to actually provide more for them then just a warm place to float. You need all sorts of things for them, things I've only seen in movies. I'm having major dilemmas with cribs (we bought one, but it has a sliding side and I'm way freaked out that it will break and suffocate my kid so I'm making Ryan list it on KSL again and we're buying another one) car seats (how safe do they have to be and do we really need a giant stroller too?) and breast pumps (I know which one I want, but you want me to spend how much so I can have a machine milk me multiple times at work?). It's a lot of information to wade through, but somehow I know I will. I really can't believe how expensive it is to have your first kid. Luckily I've had amazing friends and family so I really haven't even had to pay for any maternity clothes. That rocks! Plus I love looking for used deals online. Now if I just didn't have to work 40 hours/week to make the money to look for the deals I could spend all my time scouring the internet.
It's a dishwasher
We could not be more happy...we got a dishwasher. It has been two years of back breaking hunching over the sink to wash piles of dishes, but no longer. Now we have a machine to do our work for us.
Look upon it and weep at its beauty (we did the first time we pulled clean dishes out of it)
Two new babies
Everyone is having babies. Turns out we're not the only ones baking a bun in the oven. My wonderful older sister had her little guy on January 8th (Kelli Sinner's Birthday) and my friend had her little girl on January 17th. No matter where our little guy is, visiting family or hanging out in the neighborhood, he'll have a friend/cousin to play with. Congratulations to all!
Over the break
A lot has happened and I've been a slacker. Christmas break was all sorts of fun. Ryan had time off, so he needed something to do. Naturally we have many jobs around the house for him so he set out to replace the electric. This was after he took a trip with the marching band to San Diego for the bowl game. He did an amazing job and we only had to live in chaos for a little while. He re-wired almost everything, put fans up in the bedrooms, recessed lighting in the kitchen and patched and painted all the holes. It is amazing and so wonderful to have light switches that actually work and a husband that is so dang handy!

to this!!!!!

The chaos...
and the dirt that we lived in for a few days...
but we went from this...
