Toys

I've already decided that we don't need to spend tons of money on toys because Lucas finds everyday objects just as interesting.

Cutest thing ever

I've decided that their is nothing cuter than a baby in pajamas. Our house is so hot at night that last night was the first night we put Lucas in pj's. It was super cute to get him up this morning and have him packaged in this adorable bundle. He's just so cute and compact.

Purple People Eater

Just sitting in his Bumbo (or Bimbo as the Kocherhans would call it). We borrowed it from Jenna, but my little man is comfortable wearing and sitting in purple. Thanks for the sweet AC/DC shirt Aunt Kelli.

When the Timms Come to Town

It's been a while but I wanted to put some pictures up of my sister and her family coming to town. My sister claimed they came to town to teach me how to leave the house with a baby, but I think it was just so Connor could hang out with his cousin. Maybe it was so Chloe could meet her cousin. She loved baby Lucas. It was so cute. She would use a baby voice, which was so high only dogs could hear it, and talk to Lucas. Direct Chloe quote: "He's just a little guy." Dang I have the cutest niece and nephew. I have to admit that I got out a lot more than before. I've now nursed in more places than I thought possible. I love love love it when my sister comes to town. I really wish she lived here, but for now I'll just have to live with all too short visits.
What do other people do on vacation in the summer? Swim, fish hike. What do we do? Make a Christmas gingerbread house.

This is what four months difference in baby age does.

One of the multiple Ikea visits.

Sparklers on the 4th of July. We kept doing them until Chloe got burned. I'm assuming this is how the 4th will always be with kids.

I may have already made Lucas wear a matching outfit with his Mom. I'm sure he won't be mad about it when he grows up.

Chloe loving her cousin.

The dads hanging out.

I love my little man

Craft Day

Here we are the chorus of the under slept. My beautiful sister who has such a grand social life that she doesn't have time to sleep, my pregnant barely showing almost due cousin who is too uncomfortable to sleep, and me the woman with a three month old who decided it would be cool to get up three times the night before. We decided it would be a good idea to get together and have a craft day. Operating hot glue guns on such little sleep, crazy I know. I spent a whole week getting all of the supplies I would need. I was ready. Ryan was going to watch Lucas since he was on break from school. We were set. Cort arrived and I was still trying to finish cleaning the house. So I finally finish and then Jen arrives. So then I decide to make us all lunch, but I want to try out something new. I finally finish lunch and Lucas is hungry. Feed the baby. Then we have to run to the craft store to get paper for Jen's project. During this time my cousin has crocheted like five hats or something, meanwhile I'm still trying to get started on my project. We get back from the craft store and not ten minutes later Lucas is hungry. Feed the baby. Finally it's about four in the afternoon and I get to start my project. I sit down and decide what paper I want to use and then cut out the first circle and it's time for us to leave to a BBQ. Cort has to get home to her poor sick husband and Jen is going to stay and finish her project and then dash to another party or camp out or something. Crafts complete for Megan = 0, super fun day hanging out with the coolest girls = 100%.

Babies

Lucas already has a girlfriend. Three months old and he is smitten. The little girl that I babysit, Jenna, is just adorable. Lucas loves having her around. When I get him up in the morning and Jenna is here he just lights up. For the most part she is not as excited by him. Lucas will just lay there and stare at her and she will just continue to play with her toys. I'm sure as soon as he gets bigger he'll start flexing his guns and asking her where the gym is.

What a cutie

We have way too much fun.

Trying to hold hands...what a cute couple.

This is how it usually is. Lucas staring and Jenna playing and not realizing that Lucas is there.

Pics

We had some professional pictures taken of Lucas and us. Ryan has a friend and she is so great. She does such an amazing job. Sadly Lucas was totally overwhelmed by the flash and didn't crack a smile the whole day. He's only six weeks old so I still have a super gut and didn't even run a comb through his hair. Needless to say Lucas still looks super cute, but his parents could have used a little more prep time.

Trend?

Theme for the first three months of Lucas' life...monkeys. How many do you count?

Boys vs Girls

Why is it that boys can make sound effects? I really can't make any sounds. My animal noises sound like the animal is giving birth or dying. Which is going to make it interesting when I'm teaching Lucas what noise and elephant makes. Ryan says my machine gun sounds like a goat. So maybe I should just try to make gun noises to teach Lucas animal noises. Here is a sample of Ryan making awesome noises that Lucas loves. If his Mom tries it he is less than thrilled.

What a cutie

I just realized that the last post on my page is titled poop. What a nice heading to have up for almost a month. I thought I would post about Lucas' other qualities. We are happy and proud that his digestive system works though.
Lucas is the coolest person I know. Who knew that a three month old would be so much fun to hang out with? He is such a smiley happy kid. Of course whenever we get the camera out he won't smile because he is too interested in this weird object that we keep pointing at him. He is getting really good at grabbing anything and everything and then putting it in his mouth. He can roll over onto his side then onto his back. He holds his head up like a champ. His poor flat head. We really try to get him to sleep on different sides, but the back is just so flat. Even with a flat head he is still the most adorable little man ever.

Practicing holding his head up. Looking just like a little man.
This is the first time he found himself in his mirror. He loves to see that cute baby looking back at him.
I'm so sad about this picture. I thought it would be so funny to take a pic of Lucas with a nipple ring. Of course he makes the cutest face ever and I'm stuck with a super cute picture of my son with a nipple ring.
I think this is the funniest picture ever. It sorta looks like someone is punching Lucas but he's just rubbing his nose.
We do love Lucas!
Yo ho ho and a bottle of milk. Thanks Ash and Jen for the sweet outfits.
My boys
Funny story about our anniversary. We celebrated our sixth year of being married. We thought it would be super fun to go to the temple together. We got all dressed up, got a babysitter and drove down to the SLC temple. Who forgot to check when the temple was closed for cleaning......this couple. It all worked out in the end though, we got to eat super yummy sushi instead. I think Lucas is scared of seeing his parents dressed up. Check out the super horrified look on his face.
Ryan got to celebrate his 30th birthday this year. It was super low key. We ate delicious food hung out and watched a movie. It was actually a super fun day.
We watched the 24th of July fireworks inside. Lucas actually loved to watch the fireworks but they were way too loud for him.
We didn't get any pictures of Lucas on his blessing day, sad I know. So here he is almost a month later in his blessing outfit. He looks basically the same. Just imagine him way more tired and a little skinnier.
At least one of them likes the binky.
Lucas' view from the carseat.
