It's a.......

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a picture of a picture of his head profile. We got to get the ultrasound yesterday and it was so fun. We got to watch him for extra long because a resident had to practice and then the tech came in and got all the really cute shots. By the way if anyone didn't know we are pregnant...we are going to have a little boy at the end of April. We are very excited and equal parts nervous!

Congratulations Ashley

Ashley Sinner made it into the nursing program at UVU!!! To put this into perspective let me tell you everything she had to do. She had a 4.0 in her pre-nursing courses, she is a certified CNA and an all around super cool girl. With all of this she was still fourth on the wait list. We were all biting our nails for about a week while the school waited to hear from other students to see if they would accept. She talked to the counselor who told her that each year they take about 3-4 applicants off the wait list. Since this was the case she had to do everything just like she'd been accepted. Luckily it all paid off and she gets to start two more years of school in January. Congratulations, we are so proud of you!

St Louis

I know you've all been dying to see pictures of Chloe. Don't worry I won't disappoint you. She is as cute and as fun as ever. We spent all of fall break visiting Ashley, Jeremy and Chloe. The weather did not cooperate so we ended up spending most of our time indoors. We entertained ourselves with talking, movies and crafts. Who needs to do things when children are around? They're like free entertainment.

We played cars with Chloe a lot. We couldn't resist so we bought her an official Cars (the movie) car. Blue, just like her bed.
We all bundled up one day and went to the zoo. Chloe really knew her way around that place, but she only loves the really big animals.

We (I mean Ashley) made some adorable cupcakes for her neighbors...

of course we had to try some.

We built the arch at the science museum, which Chloe then proceeded to knock down onto her head. Luckily she's one tough cookie.

I promised Ryan BBQ this trip and he got BBQ!
We carved pumpkins, which Chloe loved. She had to be involved in every step.
Chloe loves the camera now. She insisted that I take pictures of her cars, her holding her cars and all of us together. It took a few tries but we finally fit us all in one pic! Thanks for a great trip.

It's the little things

that brighten my day.

New Turkish Rug

The Sinners brought us back a treat from their cruise. It is a real Turkish rug! We wouldn't have anything interesting and foreign if they didn't bring us back such cool gifts. Thanks for always thinking about us.

Happy Birthday to Ashley

I know your mad that I didn't get this posted anytime around your real birthday, but that's no reason to act like a child and stick your tongue out. Happy belated B-day!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's a little (ok lot) late, but I really like to celebrate my birthday for weeks at a time. It was an interesting day. I had to work, which I of course think is a crime, but my employer obviously doesn't. Everyone was very nice at work making me birthday post it notes and baking me a bunt cake (It's a cake!). Plus every time I went to my locker to check my phone I always had three new messages from friends and family wishing me happy birthday. The best message was of course from Chloe telling me happy birthday and that I looked like a monkey. I came home from work to find not one, but two beautiful flower arrangements awaiting me. My man knows what I like. That night Ryan had lab until 9:00, so the gang from work took me out to dinner. Thai food, it was delicious. Then I met my Mom, Jen and friend Natalie for some dessert at the bakery. Plus Ryan finished his lab early so he got to come and join us. Of course just one day of celebration wouldn't suffice. On Friday night Ryan and I went out to dinner for our just the two of us celebration. We tried a new restaurant, Himalayan Kitchen, that someone suggested. It was not a good match for us. The service was terrible, we waited 30 minutes for an appetizer, and the food was not that great. We of course had a great time being tired and hungry and judging everyone in the restaurant. I'm much nicer when I've been fed. Of course just one week of celebration wouldn't suffice. On Sunday we had an o-so yummy dinner with the Sinners and marzipan cake! Then on Monday night we went to dinner with my Dad and Jan and got super yummy butternut squash ravioli. I got to drag the celebration out even longer into the next week when I received presents in the mail from Leslie and Ayumi. I sang Happy Birthday to myself when I got each one
This is me in my new outfit that my Mom got me

This is my tower of chocolate from Leslie and cute new coasters from Meryl
