Utah Valley has good and interesting food?

My friend Ayumi was in town last weekend, and luckily she enjoys good food. We went to visit with her and her husband TJ (whom we've now seen three times, the first time being when we met him on their wedding day!) Good thing that we like him, because I love to hang out with Ayumi and try new and delicious cuisine. She took us to a super yummy Korean restaurant in Provo!? Only Ayumi could find a delightful eatery in Utah Valley. We had such a great time I can't wait to see her in May at Leslie's wedding in wonderfully warm Phoenix.

Ashley is 21 today!

Happy Birthday to the family Princess. Hope you had a great day......we loved the carrot cake.

well, looks like you had a good 21st.

Family Force 5

My little brothers won tickets to the AP Tour, which included Family Force 5....and some other bands that I had never heard of, or care to hear again. Jen and I decided to go, we love the Family Force 5. We heard them at Warped Tour a few years ago and had so much fun that we decided to go the next time they came to town. Now we've seen them a few times, and we always bring the audience age up a few years. This time it was great, since they were in a place with a 21 and over balcony section Jen and I got to go hang out above all the smelly hormonal teens and just enjoy the show. Our little brothers were somewhere in the massive sweaty crowd below us, and apparently enjoying every minute of it. David was so psyched about the show, he was trembling with excitement and shaking the whole car.

Son of Rambow

It's been a long time since Ryan and I have seen a good film. Just a movie that makes you laugh, cry, think and leave with a big smile on your face. I'm not sure where I'd even heard of this movie, but it came this week in our Netflix. I made us watch it twice because I liked it so much. If you are in need of a good movie, this comes highly recommended by the Sinners.

Best Play....yet

We went to Pioneer Theatre last week with our season tickets to see Dial M for Murder. I have to admit that it was the best play of the season so far. Ryan and I both really enjoyed it. I hate to admit that for the most part, we think most of the plays this season are just way too long and boring. So far we've seen a comedy, a romance, a historical fiction and Shakespeare. Both of us agree that theatre comedy is just not that funny. I know we're probably ruined by television, but the slapstick nonsense in the theatre usually doesn't make us laugh. The romance was a bit unsettling; a mentally slow woman falls in love in Italy and the Mother doesn't want the family to know that she is a "little off"??? The historical fiction included a brother-in-law/sister-in-law possible romantic connection. Then Romeo & Juliet was 3 1/2 hours long. I'm still excited to see Miss Saigon this spring, but so far it's Dial M for Murder....hands down.

New Haircut

It was time to go for something new. My hairstylist picked this one. Technically it is my transition cut, to an even shorter 'do next time.
